About
The Appraiser
Margaret Nelson-Quin, SRA
Margaret Nelson-Quin, SRA, is the appraiser you want at an appraisal inspection. She worked in the personal services industry from 1980 to 1994 and knows the value of presentation and good communication when she is out in the field. A career path change in 1994 took her into the technology industry, where she thrived on learning about and interfacing with the most current technologies. In 1999, a move to the northern coast of California necessitated another career change, and Margaret’s service and technology background led her to begin her real estate appraisal career.
She began working for a local real estate broker in marketing and sales and eventually found her current niche in real estate appraisal. Margaret thoroughly enjoys interfacing with her clients and their borrowers while at the same time being able to use the latest technologies to research and deliver her appraisals.
Margaret recently achieved her Certified General Appraisal License in Oregon and California. Her 18 years in the residential real estate appraisal field make her uniquely qualified to conduct valuations of commercial properties with residential components. Margaret has always been drawn to more complex appraisal problems and properties such as farms and ranches, mixed use commercial/residential, and those operated as full-time vacation rentals. These are just a few of the property types that require her commercial and residential appraisal expertise.
